About Young Life

You Were Made for This

We invite kids to follow Christ, care for them regardless of their response, and change lives in the process.

What is Young Life?

We believe in the power of presence.

Young Life leaders log many hours with kids — where they are, as they are. We listen to their stories and learn what's important to them because we genuinely care about their joys, triumphs, heartaches
and setbacks.
 Loving kids
regardless of their
  responses

Kids' lives are dramatically influenced when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God's love with them. Because their Young Life leader believes in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose.

Who is Young Life for?

In Young Life, we believe that every kid deserves to hear about a God who loves them-
that's why we've grown and adapted to make sure kids from all backgrounds and abilities can hear about the greatest love story ever told. High school students, middle school students, college students, students with disabilities, teen moms, military brats, and kids from all over the world can see what Young Life is all about!

Our high school programing, the initial ministry started over 75 years ago, is called Young Life. Our middle school programing is called WyldLife and our outreach to college-age students is called Young Life College.  We refer to our ministry to kids with disabilities as Capernaum and to our work with teen moms as YoungLives

Multiethnic Young Life, focused on kids in diverse cultural communities and those in economically-depressed areas. Many of these kids often feel misunderstood and neglected and are being raised in environments where hope for the future is sometimes limited. The Young Life Small Town/Rural Initiative exists to ensure that kids in small towns don’t miss out on the opportunity to hear about Jesus Christ in terms they can understand from an adult they know and respect.Young Life Military walks the halls with military teens and their families to help them face the unique and challenging aspects of military life.

From small, rural communities to the heart of the inner city, Young Life spans cultures, races, genders, and socioeconomic groups to bridge the gap and reach this generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
